Sergeant Cody Carpenter of the City of Lonoke Police Department and Chief Justin Whittenburg of the Lonoke Volunteer Fire Department partnered with Lonoke High School this week to provide essential emergency response training to students as part of their health curriculum.
Students received hands-on instruction in Stop the Bleed techniques and CPR, gaining critical life-saving skills that can make a real difference in emergency situations. The training included CPR on both adults and children, the proper use of an AED, tourniquet application, wound packing, and other vital first-aid procedures.
This collaborative effort not only fulfilled a key component of the students' health education but also empowered them with knowledge and confidence that can help save lives.
A sincere thank you to Lonoke High School for facilitating this important opportunity, and to Sergeant Carpenter and Chief Whittenburg for their dedication to educating and protecting our community.
