March 7.
- Dr. Seuss Celebration Party!
Don’t be late and save the date! We’re having a party to CELEBRATE! Join us in the library Moeschle Meeting Room for a special Dr. Seuss-themed party to celebrate the author’s beloved characters/stories and Read Across America Day. We’ll have cupcake decorating, special guest readers, game/activity stations, and raffle prizes drawn every 30 minutes! March 7, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

- Spring Break at the Library!
We’ve got a week of FREE activities planned to keep everyone busy this Spring Break, March 9 - 14. Take a look and make note of their time and location:
Monday:
• Supersized Sensory Playtime: 10:30 AM at the main branch Library.
• Video Game Day: Ages 8 - 17, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Held at the library main branch. Free to attend.
Tuesday:
• Springtime Story Time: Recommended for ages 0 - 5. Free to attend. 10:30 AM at the main branch Library.
• Family BINGO: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Free to attend. Broughton Recreation Center: 801 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Longview, TX 75602.
Wednesday:
• Lady Chops Percussion Show @ The Longview Kite Festival: Elizabeth Vidos, also known as Lady Chops, is an impressive one woman drumming show and percussionist whose past work includes performing in the hit Off-Broadway show STOMP. Come enjoy her interactive and energetic show: "Drum Roll Please” during the Kite Festival hosted by the Longview Parks and Recreation Department. The Kite Festival runs 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM on March 11, at Lear Park. There will be all sorts of activity booths (including the library’s), vendors, and food trucks to visit. Lady Chops’ show starts at 2:00 PM. Plan for a fun day out. Bring your kites and sunscreen! Free to attend. All ages.
Thursday:
• Family Movie Day - “Zootopia 2” (PG): There will be two showings to attend. 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Free to attend, limited seating. Limited amounts of free popcorn will be served. Main branch Library.
Friday:
• Crafty Kids Time: Projects for ages 0-6. All supplies provided. Available from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM while supplies last. Work on them at the main branch Library or take a kit home.
• Family Game Day: Main branch Library. Free to attend. 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
Saturday:
• LEGO-A-THON: Spend the day at the library playing with our HUGE LEGO collection! Raffle prizes will be drawn for every hour of the event duration! LEGO-A-THON goes from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the library. All ages, free to attend.
March 14.
- Librarian Foodies Cookbook Club.
Stop by for our bi-monthly, cookbook review series. Enjoy a tasty recipe from the cookbook, and discuss other culinary and cooking stories with attendees. This month’s review: “Chinese Enough” by Kristina Cho. Meeting starts at 10:00 AM. Free to attend.
- True Crime Crew: Murder Mystery Box Game.
True Crime Crew returns for Spring Break fun! Gather your true crime friend group and sign up to solve a murder mystery case together. Groups of up to 6 detectives. Solo detectives will be placed in a group if necessary. 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Free to attend. Sign up by calling (903) 237-1351 or message us on Facebook.

- Bonus Video Game Day for Spring Break @ The Library!
Extra fun for those of you who have a late spring break week! Stop by for our always popular Super Smash Bros. Tournament. 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Ages 8-17. Free to attend.
March 17.
- Teen Hangout: Paint By Numbers.
Ages 13-17, enjoy some library fun, snacks, friends, and crafty paint by number projects! Meet up from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
March 20.
- Tai Chi Class at the Library.
Limber up this Spring and learn about the ancient Chinese practice that serves as an amazing gentle workout. Led by local Tai Chi pro and martial artist, Paul Gerald. Held on March 20. Please note there are two different sessions. Seniors/Modified for mobility class from 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM, and traditional class from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Ages 18+. Free to attend. March 21.
- Adult Craft Day/Quilt Club: English Paper Piece Quilting.
March includes National Quilting Day and we’ll teach you about a different way to quilt using the English Paper Piecing method. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Signup is required due to limited space. Supplies provided, but we highly encourage you to bring your own hand sewing supplies and any woven fabrics in a pattern/color scheme you’d like to consider using.
- Teen Dungeons & Dragons Universe-ity Hangout.
Ages 13-17. Please contact youth services staff at (903) 237-1345 during business to register for the ongoing campaign meetup. 2:00 PM - 4:45 PM.
- Diverse Readers Book Club meeting at 2:00 PM, main branch Library.
March 28.
- Sketchbook Sessions: Reverse Coloring.
We encourage you to color outside the actual lines in this Sketchbook Session meetup! Learn a unique way to create illustrations and drawings using the reverse coloring method. It’s a very relaxing, stress-free, and mindful way to draw! Supplies provided. Signup required. March 28, from 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM.

Sign up for our FREE computer classes scheduled all month to help you learn something new or brush up on basics that can improve your career skills.
3/11: Keyboarding & Typing Basics, from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
3/16: Computer Basics I & II, from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
3/23 and 3/24: Basic Excel, from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
3/28: Google Drive Basics, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
3/30 and 3/31: Word Basics I & II, from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
