Empowering Change Through Community
The Junior League of Longview proudly presents the RISE Conference 2026, a dynamic half-day event dedicated to bringing together professionals and community leaders who are passionate about creating positive change in East Texas.

Formerly known as the Poverty Conference, RISE has evolved into a collaborative experience that unites professionals from education, healthcare, social services, government, nonprofit organizations, and community programs. Together, we will explore innovative ways to strengthen partnerships, support mental wellness, and empower individuals and families throughout our communities.

This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Julia Garcia, will share an inspiring and practical message focused on resilience, mental health, hope, and the power of mindset in overcoming challenges. Participants will leave with valuable tools, fresh perspectives, and renewed motivation to make a lasting impact in their personal and professional lives.

Attendees will also have opportunities to:

Last week some of our Junior League ladies enjoyed cheering on community peers at the East Texas Literacy Council ‘s 35th Annual Bee for Literacy! Sustainer Chelsea Cace put her knowledge to the test while competing for the Rotary Club of Longview, TX and current league member Shelby J Cannon led the audience play!
What a blast supporting an amazing cause in Longview!
