While we all enjoy a Holiday Weekend, please remember this one came with a price. Take time to Honor those that served our country and paid the ultimate price so that we may enjoy the freedoms we have.
The Courthouse will be closed on Monday. We hope your weekend is filled with great fun and a moment or two of reflection.

Jury Duty begins at 8:30 a.m. Please report to the 4th Floor of the Gregg County Courthouse and the 188th District Court no later than 8:15 a.m. so we can get you checked in properly. The doors of the Courthouse will open at 7:45 a.m.

Make sure you open your summons to check for possible exemptions or disqualifications. If you have an exemption or a disqualification, you can circle the one that applies to you and mail it in.

Inside the summons you will also find a QR code and a website that has detailed information concerning parking. The new parking facility is open and available for parking. There is no charge. The entrance is located on Center St. and is best accessed from Tyler St. Handicap parking is available on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels.

Our apologies for the late notice, but our last trial for the week of APRIL 20th has just been resolved therefore allowing us to CANCEL jury duty.

Due to a power outage in our office the District Clerk’s Office has closed for the rest of today (Thursday, April 16, 2026). We will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday, April 17. The rest of the courthouse is open until 5 p.m. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
