Residential Structure Fire – Mount Pleasant Road
At approximately 5:20 a.m. today, the Hallsville Fire Department was dispatched to the 1100 block of Mount Pleasant Road for a report of light haze inside a residence.
Upon arrival, crews from Rescue Engine 5010 found a mobile home with heavy smoke showing from the eaves. Due to the conditions observed, the incident was upgraded to a working structure fire, and mutual aid was requested from the West Harrison Volunteer Fire Department and the Longview Fire Department.
The crew of Rescue Engine 5010 deployed a crosslay, initiated a primary search, and began an interior fire attack. Hallsville firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and contained most of the damage to a single room, preventing further fire spread and preserving the remainder of the residence.
After arriving on scene, crews from West Harrison and Longview assisted with a secondary search, salvage operations, and overhaul to confirm that the fire was fully extinguished.
All occupants safely evacuated the residence, and no injuries were reported.
The Hallsville Fire Department thanks the West Harrison Volunteer Fire Department and the Longview Fire Department for their continued support and assistance. These strong mutual-aid partnerships enable our departments to work together effectively to protect our communities.
