Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the heroes who responded with courage, and recognize the families whose lives were forever changed.

At The Martin House, we join our community and our nation in remembering the strength, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Our Martin House CAC team has been out and about connecting with communities near and far! 💙

Valerie has been representing Martin House at the Crime Victims Services Conference in Austin, while Cadie had the opportunity to speak to the Marshall Lions Club about the work we do for children and families.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to learn, connect, and share the mission of Martin House with others.

What is a Children’s Advocacy Center?

The Martin House CAC provides a safe, child-focused space where agencies work together to support children and families following concerns of abuse.

Our wraparound approach brings together law enforcement, Child Protective Services, prosecution, mental and medical health professionals, and case coordination. This allows a child to share their story in a forensic interview one time, rather than repeating it across multiple agencies.

By working together, we help reduce additional trauma while connecting children and families with the support and resources they need to move toward healing.

One team. One safe place. Supporting children and families every step of the way.

We have loved being at the East Texas Baptist University Community Showcase today! 💙 We even got to run into our sweet volunteer, Andrea, while we were there!

One of our favorite parts has been meeting so many students and hearing about their plans for the future—from neurology and pediatric physical therapy to children’s ministry, nursing, and more.

And, of course, we’ve been doing our best to add working at a Children’s Advocacy Center to their list of possibilities! 😉

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with the next generation of professionals and share how their future careers can make an impact in the lives of children and families.

We are so thankful for everyone who joined us this morning for our Bless the Beams event!

These beams are now filled with words of encouragement, hope, love, and support for the children and families who will one day walk through the doors of The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center.

Thank you for being part of this special milestone and for leaving a lasting message within the walls of our new home. We are incredibly grateful to have a community that stands alongside us as we build a place of hope, healing, and support for the children and families we serve.

💙 MEMBER OF THE DAY: The Martin House Children's Advocacy Center 💙

Today, we’re proud to recognize The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center, whose mission is to ensure every child impacted by abuse is heard, protected, and provided the vital services they need for safety and healing.

Since 2009, The Martin House has worked alongside law enforcement, legal professionals, and community partners across Gregg, Harrison, Upshur, and Marion Counties to support children and families through a collaborative, trauma-focused approach.

In 2025 alone, 1,026 children received help through their services. 💙

We’re grateful for The Martin House and the compassionate work they do to provide healing, advocacy, and justice for children in our community.

Thank you for being a valued member of the Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce! 👏
