Since the Beginning, Communism Has Killed Its Opponents
This is not a new idea.
It is the idea.
Divide the world into oppressors and oppressed. Then declare that violence against the first group is not a crime. It is justice.
Denver is living it.
On Friday, an anti-ICE walkout at La Alma-Lincoln Park ended with five assaults and three people in the hospital. A man with an “I love ICE” sign was chased and cracked in the head with a metal water bottle. A woman was punched. Journalists and ICE supporters were attacked.
For more than two years, a group that calls itself the Denver Communists has tried to destroy Drip Café on Santa Fe Drive — a Christian coffee shop tied to a ministry that helps the homeless.
They do not want an argument. They want a co**se of a business.
One of them said it out loud: “Our goal is to drive them out.”
Bullhorns in customers’ faces. People followed inside. Windows smashed. Walls graffitied. The owner says they told him he was not welcome on the planet — and to kill himself.
That is not protest.
That is the Party, small and local.
The same logic put fists on Jewish students and called it liberation.
Label them oppressors. The beating writes itself.
Communism has always worked this way.
It does not see a man. It sees a category. Kulak. Priest. Capitalist. Zionist. ICE agent. Christian. Once you are the wrong word, you are no longer a neighbor. You are a problem to remove.
Look at the graves.
The Black Book of Communism counts roughly 100 million dead.
About 20 million in the Soviet Union. About 65 million in China.
About 2 million in Cambodia, where Pol Pot murdered a quarter of his own country in less than four years. North Korea. Vietnam. Eastern Europe.
Not accidents.
Policy.
Christians were hunted on purpose. The Soviets seized churches and shot priests. Russia entered the revolution with tens of thousands of churches. By the eve of World War II, only a few hundred still stood open. The crime was not a plot. The crime was a higher King than the Party.
Opponents died for the same reason. Stalin’s purges. Mao’s campaigns. The killing fields. Dissent was not a mistake. Dissent was treason against History.
Why?
Because communism has no God.
And a movement with no God has no unalienable dignity.
Christians say every person is made in the image of God. That is a wall around power. It says the man you hate still bears a worth you did not assign and cannot revoke.
Communism smashes the wall. All is class. All is power. All is economics. Morality is whatever helps the revolution. If the “oppressor” will not move, break his window. Kick him. Starve him. Shoot him.
The gulag is not communism gone wrong.
The gulag is communism with a budget.
Denver is not Moscow. A megaphone is not a firing squad. Do not play dumb about the difference. And do not play dumb about the match.
If victim is your highest category, your opponent is not a citizen. He is a target.
America’s answer is older than Karl Marx and harder than a chant.
You shall not murder.
Love your enemies.
And no Party, no park mob, and no theory of liberation gives you the right to assault a human being God already named as His image.
Communism has killed its opponents since the beginning.
It is still trying.
