Next up for the 2026 Art on the Move program is Wind Sprite, Mistral by Annette Coleman.

“Wind Sprite, Mistral” is a whimsical kinetic sculpture made of steel, plexiglass and enamel paint that really comes alive when the wind picks up. Built for Colorado’s gusty winds (and other weather), this piece is meant to move with the elements. As it spins and shifts, pieces of colored plexiglass catch the sunlight and scatter bright, playful patches of color onto the ground.

Head down to 4th Ave. and Main St. to watch this beauty spin in the wind.

Light, playful and a little dreamy, “Head in the Clouds” by Jodie Bliss celebrates the simple magic of letting your mind wander. Crafted from hand-forged steel, the sculpture blends strength with a surprising softness, brought to life through rich, shifting colors that catch the light.

See this stunning piece in person on 4th Ave and Main Street, part of this year's "Art on the Move" collection.

Created through a paint-by-number project, this vibrant artwork is the result of neighbors of all ages coming together to bring this design to life. The result is something lasting and colorful, rooted in community.

The mural, serving as a backstop for the baseball field, stands as a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the power of collective effort.

Stop by Lanyon Park to see it up close and find your favorite section—you might even spot a piece painted by someone you know.

Behind the scenes at Art in Public Places, a big part of our work is caring for the art you see every day. Last week, Ken Williams, the artist behind Brick, came up from Pueblo to complete repairs on the piece at 6th and Main.

Fun Fact: Brick was the very first artwork commissioned through the City’s Art in Public Places program in 1992. Keep an eye out for it next time you’re exploring downtown!

ID: A person stands on a blue ladder, doing repairs on a brick archway. The bottom of the structure features decorative stone elements. Construction materials are visible on the ground nearby.
