‼Tips Needed‼
On Feb. 4, 2011, at about 11:19 am Weld County dispatch received a call of a possible dead body, wrapped in a blanket under a bridge in the area of Weld County Roads 53 and 4, near Lochbuie, Colorado. At the scene, investigators discovered a deceased, frozen, body, wrapped and tied up in a blanket in a dry irrigation ditch. The victim appeared to have been dumped from the bridge above the ditch. When victim’s body was discovered, the temperature was 36 degrees and temperatures that week were consistently below zero.
An autopsy determined the victim was found to have suffered blunt force trauma, and the cause of death was ruled a homicide. Adrian Avalos-Tavera, was later positively identified as the victim through tattoo descriptions, photographs, and fingerprints. Adrian was only 23 years-old at the time of his death, and he was last seen alive in Dec. of 2010. Unfortunately, WCSO investigators were never able to develop any suspects in this case, so we need your help to get this case solved!
If you have any information regarding the death of Adrian Avalos-Tavera, please contact Det. Byron Kastilahn at 970-400-2827 with your tips.
