Well, it’s been 365 days since I received a second chance at life, a new kidney! I am blessed to say that everything is great and I’m as healthy as ever! I could not have gotten here without the love, prayers, and thoughts from family, friends and even random strangers who happened to see my car magnet, flyers, or website. Most of all, I need to thank the doctors and technicians of Fresinus Dialysis Center who kept me in the right space, mentally and physically, as well as the entire team at Lehigh Valley Transplant, who preformed the procedure and aftercare.
Finally, I have to thank the donor family, who gave me the gift of life. I have learned that he had a full life, we were similar ages and family compositions, and that they are proud and glad to know their loved one is living on in me.
With that, I have decided to rename Sidney the Kidney on honor of him.
So please join with me and say hello to Randy!
