By bringing my experience as a wife, mother, an Orono graduate, a business owner, and dedicated community member to this role, I’m confident that together, we can nurture the strong roots of our past, while exploring local solutions for the future. It's a place I’ve had the privilege to grow up in as a 2003 Orono graduate and want to continue that legacy for my family and my community for years to
come. As a wife and mother, I understand the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for our families. As a business owner, I know firsthand the importance of maintaining a stable, supportive environment for economic growth and how to thoughtfully plan for the future. And as someone who has been actively involved in our community for years, I am deeply aware of the values that unite us and the vision we share for our future. Our city has achieved much, but there’s still work to be done. Financial stability is the bedrock upon which we must continue to build. It ensures that we can meet the current needs of our residents while also preparing for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. My experience in balancing budgets, managing resources, and planning for the future has equipped me to help guide our city into the future. I desire to continue serving on the council because I believe in our community, and I’m committed to ensuring that it remains a place where our children can grow up with the same opportunities, I had myself. By bringing my experience, I’m confident that together, we can continue to nurture the strong roots of our past, while discovering local solutions that pave the way for a vibrant future. I’ve always believed that being actively involved in our community’s programs is one of the best ways to serve and support Orono. My active participation over the last decade in various initiatives stems from a desire to give back, not to create a conflict of interest. Serving on multiple fronts allows me to understand the diverse needs of our community and contribute to solutions that benefit everyone. It’s disheartening to see anyone being shamed for volunteering or stepping up to help. These comments often come from those who may not fully understand the commitment and heart it takes to serve. Instead of questioning someone’s intentions, I hope we can focus on the positive impact we’re all striving to make. At the end of the day, my goal remains simple: to serve Orono in the best way possible. I’m proud of the work we’re doing, and I encourage anyone who wants to get involved to join us in these efforts!
