Today, 5 members of the Long Grove Volunteer Fire Department, alongside the MEDIC EMS of Scott County crew, were honored to receive challenge coins from the Iowa Donor Network in recognition of the important role first responders play in the organ donation process.

Because of the incredible teamwork and care provided throughout this process, 3 individuals received life-saving organs, while countless others benefited from tissue donation — a powerful reminder that even in moments of tragedy, hope and healing can continue for so many.

We are incredibly grateful to the Iowa Donor Network for this meaningful recognition. It is an honor to serve our community, and this is just one more example of the many ways our members touch lives both here at home and far beyond our community.

Thank you to all first responders, healthcare professionals, donor families, and organizations who make these second chances possible. ❤️

Wow. What an incredible night. ❤️

On behalf of everyone at the Long Grove Volunteer Fire Department, THANK YOU to our amazing community for the overwhelming support at last night’s Spaghetti Dinner.

Seeing the community building filled with smiling faces, laughter, and support for our department means more than we can truly put into words. Whether you came to eat, donated, volunteered your time, helped behind the scenes, or supported us through donations, thank you for believing in our department and the services we provide to this community.

Events like this remind us just how fortunate we are to serve such a caring and supportive community. The proceeds from this year’s dinner will help us continue improving EMS training equipment and training opportunities for our members so we can better serve Long Grove and the surrounding communities.

A special thank you to all of our volunteers, local businesses, donors, sponsors, and everyone who helped make the evening possible. It truly takes a village.

We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you. 🚒❤️
