This month we are proud to highlight OFFICER MICHAEL BIEGEL, who has been serving with Long Beach Police Department since 2025. Officer Beigel is currently assigned to the Patrol Division as a Patrol Officer.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE LAW ENFORCEMENT?
“I've always wanted a job where no two days are the same and there’s never a dull moment.”
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT SERVING OUR COMMUNITY?
“Our community is very close-knit and genuinely values the support we provide.”
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
“I’m 22, and my family means the world to me. I have three brothers — an 18-year-old and two 9-year-old twins who always keep life lively. Being around them reminds me of the importance of hard work and responsibility.”
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
“Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors. Hunting helps me unwind, and I enjoy fishing the rigs whenever I’m off duty.”
FAVORITE LOCAL SPOT?
“If I had to recommend a food spot, it would be the Subway at 200 W Railroad St. The staff there genuinely care about the quality of their food.”
FUN FACT?
“I’d say I’m a decent dancer; it really depends on the music.”
GO-TO SHIFT FUEL?
“During long shifts, the only things that keep me going are Ghost Energy drinks and zero-sugar Monsters from my boy Sam at the Hop In.”
OFFICER BIEGEL SAYS…
“At the end of the day, this career is about service, loyalty, and being part of a team that sacrifices every day for those around us. Everyone here is dedicated to the mission and committed to giving their all for the community.”
