Hello everyone and welcome back to Cal State Long Beach!

I hope everyone is settling into their new schedules well. I apologize that it has been so long since I have sent out an email, but BMES is still here!

Our first order of business to kick off this semester is to fill some positions that have been recently opened up within the board of BMES. These positions are as follows:

AESB Representative

An AESB Representative's main job is to attend meetings held by the Associated Engineering Student Body on Fridays at 1PM. This member represents BMES at these meetings and reports what happens at these meetings back to the board members.

Industry Representative

This member of the board helps to acquire the resources and contacts BMES will provide to its members. The Industry Rep contacts the pharmacies, hospitals, and medical industries within Long Beach and the surrounding area and attempt to acquire information on guest speakers, tours, and possible internship opportunities.

Publicity Representative

The last open position is the Publicity Rep, whom is in charge of keeping in contact with current members and attempt to gain new ones. This member will be required to keep up the BMES page, make flyers/posters, and create fundraising opportunities.

Anyone is allowed to join these positions, including those who are not majoring in Biomedical Engineering. If you would like to apply to any of these positions, please contact me soon.

Thank you,

Jeremy Ethridge
