Justin Rudd's nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT) will donate $5/per participant to your charity/organization/school (up to $200 per group) if 15 or more people in your group (including family/friends of your group) meets the following conditions:

• the team's leader must contact [email protected] in advance to get the event details/rules
• each person must be registered at https://2019polarsplash.eventbrite.com by 6 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 18; cannot add to the team after this time
• at the time of registration, registrant must indicate the correct charity/organization/school name in the space provided
• must be parked and signed-in by 10 a.m., sharp (free parking kiosk code is JR0119; or street parking is free), 1 Granada Ave., 90803
• must participate in the 30-Minute Beach Cleanup (free bags & gloves provided)
• must be in the team's photo about 10:35, just before the Polar Splash! taken by Justin Rudd
• must get completely wet (including hair/head) during the Polar Splash!
• must be in the team's photo at 10:45 after everyone is wet, taken by Justin Rudd
• Those under 18 must have a parent/guardian present to participate.
• no wet suits

A CHILLY 55 DEGREES is forecasted for the start of tomorrow's annual Long Beach Polar Splash at 10:40 a.m. at 1 Granada Ave. Come to the 30-Minute Beach Cleanup at 10 a.m. and stay to jump in the Pacific with us. MAKE MONEY: Your group of 15 or more can make $5/person when they attend the beach cleanup and jump in the water during Saturday's Long Beach Polar Splash. Next beach cleanup is Sat., Jan. 20, 10 a.m. at 1 Granada Ave. -- just before the Polar Splash. Can you invite friends and join us? Lots of debris on the beach following the recent rain storms. Let's get it all cleaned up.

See you Jan. 20? Wear what you want! It can be in a nice costume, your jeans and t-shirt, your mittens and 2-piece bikini; your Speedo and parka; your board shorts and flip flops. It's your choice. This is not a swimming event. Dress to impress!
