Mental health challenges often begin long before people receive support. Too many young people carry silent struggles for years before getting the help they deserve.

At FCI, we believe early intervention, education, and community support can change lives. When we invest in young people, we create safer, healthier, and more hopeful futures for everyone.

If you work with youth, parents, schools, or communities, your role matters. The conversations we start today can become the support someone needs tomorrow.

Let’s normalize mental wellness, encourage early support, and create spaces where healing is possible.

Healing should never come with shame.

At FCI, we believe seeking help is an act of courage, strength, and self-love. Too many people suffer in silence because of stigma but no one should have to carry their struggles alone.

Healing happens when communities choose compassion, support, and understanding over judgment.

If you or someone you know needs encouragement today, remind them that asking for help is not weakness.

Mental health care should be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in compassion.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, FCI is shining a light on the disparities that continue to impact Black communities because the numbers reflect real people, real stories, and real barriers to healing.

Representation matters. Access matters. Community matters.
Together, we can create spaces where every person feels seen, supported, and empowered to seek help.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available.

What a meaningful way to spend a Sunday. 🤍

FCI’s Chief, , had the opportunity to join fellow thought leaders, advocates, and community partners at today’s Human Trafficking Round Table hosted by Thrash-Ntuk. We are grateful for the invitation and for the space to engage in such honest, thoughtful, and necessary conversations surrounding human trafficking.

The discussion went beyond awareness it was about listening, learning, collaborating, and exploring how we can continue to do better together for those we serve.

At FCI, collaboration remains at the heart of our mission. We believe real impact happens through strong partnerships, shared knowledge, and meaningful relationships within the community. Opportunities like these continue to strengthen our commitment to staying at the forefront of anti-human trafficking work.

It was also wonderful connecting with Kandee Lewis from the Positive Results Center and so many others who continue to lead with genuine care and compassion for the community.

We left feeling encouraged, inspired, and even more committed to the mission.

We kicked off our first Human Trafficking Training, sponsored and hosted by the LA Regional Human Trafficking Task Force (LARHTTF), and it meant a lot to see so many people in the room.

Task force partners, community members, and frontline professionals showed up ready to learn, ask questions, and prepare for what’s ahead as Los Angeles gets ready to host the World Cup. What made it even more powerful was hearing directly from survivor leaders and industry experts who brought real insight, real stories, and practical tools we can actually use in the field.

This is the kind of work that matters, coming together, getting informed, and making sure we’re ready to respond the right way when it counts.

We have more trainings coming, and through the leadership of the LA Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, we’re building something strong together across this region.
