This is what happens when people are given the tools, support, and confidence to believe in their vision?
They stop dreaming about entrepreneurship… and START building it. ✨
We at the Long Beach Small Business Development Center so inspired by the graduates of the 6-week Maker to Market program pictured here at Long Beach City College.
These new entrepreneurs didn’t just learn business theory… they rolled up their sleeves and brought their ideas to life.
Thanks to our expert Business Advisors: Kari Armstrong, Charlie Lowe and Mike Huntley.
From business planning and product sourcing to marketing and selling at local farmers markets, night markets, and swap meets, this program helps aspiring business owners move from overwhelmed to empowered.
And the best part?
All 14 participants officially launched their own businesses by graduation day. 🙌🏽
Watching them showcase their products and services at the graduation event was such a beautiful reminder that success with ease and grace starts with taking the first step.
A huge congratulations to the incredible SBDC advisors Karie Armstrong, Charlie Lowe, and Mike Huntley for mentoring these future business owners every step of the way.
This is what community impact looks like.
This is what economic empowerment looks like.
And this is what happens when people are supported in turning their vision into reality.
Next stop: local markets, new customers, and continued growth on their entrepreneurial journey. 🚀
