The Aquatic Safety Department (ASD) is one of the eleven departments that GLC Services & Supplies has in order to better serve the public needs. Both the company and the department, though already operational, are under constant development (and some of its divisions services are not yet available). ASD is a private/non-governmental public safety agency dedicated to the protection of life, the environment and property in, near and around aquatic environments. The department has ten divisions, two administrative and eight operational ones:

El Departamento Seguridad Acuática (DSA) es uno de los once departamentos que GLC Services & Supplies tiene de manera de servir mejor a las necesidades del público. Tanto la compañía como el departamento, a pesar de ya estar operacionales, están bajo constante desarrollo (y algunos de los servicios de sus divisiones aún no están disponibles). DSA es una agencia de seguridad pública no-gubernamental/privada dedicada a la protección de la vida, el medio-ambiente y la propiedad en, cerca y alrededor de ambientes acuáticos. El departamento tiene diez divisiones, dos administrativas y ocho operacionales:

25 years have past since the attacks that took place at three buildings of the World Trade Center in New York City, NY; at the Pentagon building in Washington, DC; and, on board four airplanes on Septmber 11, 2001. Thousands of lives were lost, among them 343 from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), 23 from the New York City Police Dept. (NYPD) and 37 from The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Police Dept. (PAPD). More first responders ended up losing their lives in the following months and years due to health problems related to the initial response. Directly or indirectly, it affected the way we all live and the way we are all governed through changes of policies, through wars and through paradigm shifts. On this 25th Anniversary of such tragedy, we once again honor those Fallen Heores by NOT FORGETTING, by asking questions, and by demanding answers!

25 años han pasado desde los ataques que tomaron lugar en tres edificios del Centro Mundial de Comercio en la Ciudad de Nueva York, NY; en el edificio del Pentágono en Washington, DC; y, a bordo se cuatro aeroplanos el 11 de Septiembre de 2001. Miles de vidas se perdieron, entre ellas 343 del Depto. de Bomberos de la Ciudad de Nueva York (FDNY), 23 del Depto. de Policía de la Ciudad de Nueva York (NYPD) y 37 del Depto. de Policía de La Autoridad Portuaria de Nueva York y Nueva Jersey (PAPD). Más primeros respondientes terminaron perdiendo sus vidas en los meses y años siguientes debido a problemas de salud relacionados a la respuesta inicial. Directa o indirectamente, afectó la manera en la que todos vivimos y la manera en la que todos somos gobernados a través de cambios en políticas, a través de guerras y a través de cambios de paradigmas. En éste 25to Aniversario de semejante tragedia, ¡una vez más honramos a aquellos Héroes Caídos NO OLVIDANDO, haceiendo preguntas, y demandando respuestas!

The International Life Saving Federation (ILS) has renewed its logo and its website! The links to our Sport Lifesaving Club page at the ILS Clubs Registry remain the same (see below). Our club has been the 1st one from Mexico 🇲🇽 to be registered, and our in the Lower California Peninsula hope to compete one day at the ILS Inter-Club World Championships one day.

¡La Federación de Salvamento de Vidas Internacional (ILS) ha renovado su logo y su sitio web! Los enlaces a la página de nuestro Club de Salvamento Deportivo en el Registro de Clubes de la ILSF siguen siendo los mismos (ver abajo). Nuestro club ha sido el 1ro en México 🇲🇽 en ser registrado, y nuestros en la Península de Baja California esperan algún día competir en los Campeonatos Mundiales Inter-Clubes de la ILS.

Labor Day at The Beach Club started with a little bit of rain 🌧️ but ended up being a hot sunny 🌤️ day. While waves 🌊 were smaller than yesterday, due to potentially higher bacteria levels, today we deployed double red flags 🚩🚩 (water closed to the public) as well as a "no swimming" flag 🚫 and a "no surfing" flag ⚫, recommending people to avoid contact with the water. Lots of preventative actions, public contacts, warnings and a few minor medical aids kept our lifeguard personnel busy. Same as in Labor Day of 2019, 2023 and 2024, our thanks to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Lifeguard Division for their support! 🙌 Please remeber to ALWAYS SWIM 🏊 AND SURF🏄 NEAR AN OPEN 🛟 TOWER! 🙏

El Día del Laburo en El Club de Playa empezó con un poco de lluvia 🌧️ pero terminó siendo un caluroso día soleado 🌤️. Mientras que las olas 🌊 fueron más pequeñas que ayer, debido a niveles de bacteria potencialmente más altos, hoy desplegamos banderas rojas dobles 🚩🚩 (agua cerrada al público) así como también una bandera de "no nadar" 🚫 y una bandera de "no surfear" ⚫, recomendandole a la gente evitar contacto con el agua. Muchas acciones preventivas, contactos con el público, advertencias y unas pocas ayudas médicas menores mantuvieron a nuestro personal guardavidas ocupado. Al igual que en el Día del Laburo de 2019, 2023 y 2024, ¡nuestro agradecimiento al Departamento de Bomberos del Condado Los Angeles, División Guardavidas por su apoyo! 🙌 ¡Por favor recuerden de SIEMPRE NADAR 🏊 Y SURFEAR 🏄 CERCA DE UNA TORRE DE 🛟 ABIERTA! 🙏

Rain or shine, ASD lifeguards keep swimmers 🏊, surfers 🏄 and beach users 🏃 safe. Today was the second day that the swell 🌊 originated by Hurricane Marie 🌀 impacts Santa Monica Bay. As predicted by US National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard rain 🌧️ was added to the mix. Please remember to ALWAYS SWIM AND SURF NEAR AN OPEN LIFEGUARD TOWER 🛟! 🙏

Llueva o brille, los guardavidas del DSA mantienen a nadadores 🏊, surfistas 🏄 y usuarios de playa 🏃 seguros. Hoy fue el segundo día que el swell 🌊 originado por el Huracán Marie impacta a la Bahía de Santa Mónica. Como lo predijo el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional en Los Angeles/Oxnard, lluvia 🌧️ fue agregada a la mezcla. ¡Por favor recuerden de SIEMPRE NADAR Y SURFEAR CERCA DE UNA TORRE DE GUARDAVIDAS 🛟 ABIERTA! 🙏

If you will be spending 🇺🇸 at the beach, please remember to ALWAYS SWIM 🏊 AND SURF 🏄 NEAR AN OPEN TOWER🛟! Ours in front of The Beach Club (at the limit between Santa Monica State Beach and Will Rogers State Beach) will be open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (9/5 to 9/7) from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The US National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard forecasts high temperatures 🌡️, large waves 🌊, strong rip currents 🛑 and on Sunday, rain 🌧️. So please check in with the nearest lifeguard before entering the water! 🙏

Si van a estar pasando el Fin de Semana del Día del Laburo ( ) 🇺🇸 en la playa, ¡por favor recuerden de SIEMPRE NADAR 🏊 Y SURFEAR 🏄 CERCA SE UNA TORRE DE 🛟 ABIERTA! La nuestra en frente de El Club de Playa (en el límite entre la Playa Estatal de Santa Mónica y la Playa Estatal de Will Rogers) estará abierta el Sábado, Domingo y Lunes (5/9 al 7/9) de 9:00am a 5:00pm. El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional de EU en Los Angeles/Oxnard pronostica altas temperaturas 🌡️, grandes olas 🌊, fuertes corrientes de resaca/retorno 🛑 y el Domingo, lluvia 🌧️. ¡Así que por favor chequen con el/la guardavidas más cercano/a antes de entrar al agua! 🙏

A little bit of today's USCG (United States Coast Guard) Sikorsky MH-60 Jayhawk AST (Aviation Survival Technician / rescue swimmer) hoist deployment training we got to enjoy watching in front of our tower.

Un poco del entrenamiento que nos tocó disfrutar ver hoy de despliegue de polipasto de AST (Técnico de Supervivencia de Aviación / nadador de rescate) del Sikorsky MH-60 Jayhawk de la USCG (Guardia Costera de Estados Unidos) en frente de nuestra torre.

Today was the last day of Beach Camp at The Beach Club! 10 weeks that flew by! 4th non-consecutive summer we get to keep kids and personnel safe on the limit between Santa Monica State Beach (City of Santa Monica) and Will Rogers State Beach (City of Los Angeles).

¡Hoy fue el último día del Campamento de Playa en El Club de Playa! ¡10 semanas que pasaron volando! 4to verano no-consecutivo que nos toca mantener a los niños y personal a salvo en el límite entre la Playa Estatal de Santa Mónica (Ciudad de Santa Mónica) y la Playa Estatal Will Rogers (Ciudad de Los Angeles).
