The Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) helps to ensure smooth transitions into the Army or into new units. TASP helps commanders successfully receive and integrate Soldiers into their units. Sponsors ease the transition process through familiarity, reliability and trust. Sponsors help lower risk factors that lead to negative experiences for Soldiers and DA Civilians and increase protective factors. SPC Elliot is the sponsor for the 362nd MPAD’s newest soldier, PFC Townsend. This relationship will grow over time and allow both Soldiers to become better. PFC Townsend joined the unit in April and has spent time learning about video editing and vehicle maintenance before heading to basic training and AIT. Good luck PFC Townsend!
