This week, we recognize the voices behind the calls.
It’s National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and we’re proud to take a moment to highlight the men and women of the London-Laurel County 911 Center who show up every single day ready to answer whatever comes through the line.
These are the people who stay calm when everything else isn’t. The ones who talk callers through difficult moments while coordinating the response behind the scenes. They don’t wear badges on the street, but make no mistake, they are the first, first responders.
Every call is different, every situation is unpredictable, and every decision matters. And they handle it with professionalism, focus, and a level of dedication that deserves to be recognized far more than just one week a year.
To our telecommunicators: thank you for the long shifts, the tough calls, and the quiet work that keeps this community running. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re proud of the job you do.
We would also like to thank SOGO Customs for the the customization of the gifts for our telecommunicators, as well as a generous donor who funded their purchase.
