Join us as we celebrate the dedication of the Little Darby Creek Covered Bridge with a special ribbon cutting ceremony honoring the service, vision, and community spirit that made this landmark possible.

The event will include remarks from local, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and light refreshments. We are also proud to honor the legacy of former Madison County Engineer David Brand, whose dedication and leadership helped make this project a reality.

Help Improve Transportation Access for Madison County Residents

The Central Ohio Transit Authority is updating its Short-Range Transit Plan and exploring an expansion of its COTA//Plus on-demand service to the far west side of Franklin County.

If implemented, this could give Madison County residents:
--Easier access to medical appointments
--More options for jobs and groceries
--Affordable, reliable transportation using wheelchair-accessible vans

Many of our residents already travel into Franklin County for essential services—this expansion could make those trips significantly easier.

Your input matters!
The proposed service area is still conceptual, and COTA is asking for community feedback.

Take the quick survey here:

Please consider sharing this with others who may benefit. The more feedback received, the better we can demonstrate the need for improved transportation connections.

Thank you for helping us advocate for Madison County!

This past week, we had the opportunity to recognize an incredible partnership between public safety agencies and local industry following the successful 2026 LEPC Full-Scale Exercise at Nissen Chemitec.

Led by EMA Director Holly Langham and local emergency response leaders, this large-scale training simulated a hazardous materials incident—bringing together first responders, healthcare, law enforcement, and community partners to test real-world response capabilities.

We’re especially grateful to Nissen Chemitec for opening their facility and working side-by-side with our teams to strengthen emergency preparedness across Madison County. Their commitment to safety and collaboration makes a real difference.

Training like this ensures that when an emergency happens, our community is ready.

Last week, we were honored to welcome Consul General Jimmy to Madison County.

It was a wonderful day filled with great conversations, an exciting site visit at Jefferson Industries Corporation, and a shared enthusiasm for what lies ahead. We are proud of the strong foundation being built between Madison County and Japan.
This visit continues to build on the momentum from last September, when our delegation traveled to Japan — and the relationships formed there are already turning into real opportunities. We look forward to continuing to grow that partnership and exploring what we can achieve together.

Here's to a fruitful and lasting relationship! 🤝
