The tornado warning for the Waupun area has been cancelled.

The NWS has issued a TORNADO WARNING for our area until 10:15 p.m. Please take shelter and be weather aware.

Incident: Farm Equipment Fire
Authority: Sgt. Brian Bednarek

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a farm tractor fire at Clover Hill Dairy, W4306 Cloverland Drive, located in the Township of Ashford.

A deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and observed a John Deere 9460R tractor fully engulfed in flames on top of a haylage bunker.

The Lomira Fire Department and First Responders responded to the incident.
The tractor was determined to be a total loss. The haylage and bunker sustained minor damage.

The fire is not considered suspicious. No civilians or emergency personnel were injured during the incident.

At 2051 Hours we were dispatched on Cloverland Drive for a report of farm equipment on fire. Upon arrival mutual aid was requested for water supply due to the extent of the fire. Mutual Aid was able to be canceled as the fire is being allowed to burn to preserve farm crop by request of farm owner. Dispatch is aware and the fire will continue to burn in a controlled environment throughout the night and Thursday morning.

Mutual Aid requested and allowed to cancel by the incident commander;

Fire Department is conducting controlled burn on Spring Valley Rd East of the Village tonight. Please do not drive on the road so that our water trucks can conduct operations as needed to safely complete this burn.
