This week our Charity Roadblock group is A Cause for Paws.
Friday, September 11 from 11 am - 3 pm
Saturday, September 12 from 9 am - 1 pm
Location: Intersection of 4th & Broadway Streets
Mission:
To promote the development of humane treatment of all animals through education.
To provide services and educational program to further the well-being of all animals through responsible pet ownership, i.e. providing the animal with a permanent, stable, loving environment in which to live.
To promote spay/neuter programs in the community.
To treat each animal in our care with compassion but NEVER allow misguided compassion to prolong the life of a suffering animal when medical care cannot be provided the needed relief.
To constantly monitor our efforts so as to NEVER allow complacency to slow the progress in accomplishing our mission. To always be open to new ways to better the lives of our friends, the animals.
To provide haven for hope and mercy for the unwanted, lost and suffering animals. We endeavor to provide care needed by all animals including the specialized care needed by older animals and "special needs" animals whose lives might otherwise be ended unnecessarily. Using all means available to us, to find the animals in our care permanent homes in which to live their lives and while "under our wing" provide the love and attention deserved by every living creature!
