We lost a good, good man. Tom Wallace - the hero in the brown hat - has ridden off into the sunset, leaving behind more than 34 years of service, a bright light along the thin blue line, and an impact that will be felt for a long time.

He also gave the gift of life through the Indiana Donor Network.

Cass County is returning to an “Advisory” Travel Status.

While conditions have greatly improved from this afternoon areas of high water remain and will continue to remain, including across certain busy roadways such as State Road 16.

Please continue to use caution. Slow down and allow extra travel time. Turn around, don’t drown!

While we have some time for things to drain and and dry a little, more rain is forecast for Tomorrow afternoon and Friday. Areas that have cleared may flood again.
