If a power outage occurs we are notified right away with our smart meter (AMI) system. Our crews are preparing for severe weather later today and we urge everyone to do the same.

A storm system is forecasted to move across the region bringing potential damaging winds, tornados and large hail, creating a greater risk for uprooted trees and downed power lines.

If you experience a power outage, please know our smart meter system immediately sends alerts directly to our team and crews are dispatched.

During widespread outages, phone lines are prioritized to vital communication to the crews and calls may be sent to voicemail or you may get busy signals. With our smart meter (AMI) system, we are aware of each location without power and will be investigating and working out a plan for damage and repairs to restore any outages.

Crews try to assess all damage and give estimated restoration times while actively repairing the scene, but sometimes there just isn’t time.

Please know our professionals will work diligently and as long as possible to get all power restored in the best ways that keep you and themselves safe and as quickly as possible.

As with any significant storm event, it’s important to charge all devices, have supplies ready should you lose power, and consider alternative arrangements for the elderly and those with special medical needs when outages occur.

Please stay safe and remember NEVER go near downed power lines. Thank you.
