SE Ohio Foodbank We work to fight hunger in Southeast Ohio, serving Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton, and Washington Counties.

Southeast Ohio Food Bank is a large warehouse operation that receives food donations from the government, major food manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers; as well as from farmers, local food producers, area food drives, and community organizations and individual donations. The food is distributed to charitable feeding organizations (food pantries and soup kitchens) throughout 10 counties in So

utheast Ohio. Either these organizations can pick up the food or it can be delivered. Once delivered, the organizations distribute the food throughout their communities to those most in need. The food is also used in many of our programs geared towards providing food for the elderly, disabled and children struggling with hunger.

We applaud the Ohio General Assembly for taking action to protect SNAP benefits and Ohio families. These bipartisan measures will help stop fraud, safeguard taxpayer dollars, and ensure critical food assistance reaches the more than 650,000 Ohio households who rely on it each month.

We are especially grateful to the legislative leaders who worked with urgency to get this done. Ohio’s foodbanks cannot replace stolen SNAP benefits, which is why protecting this program is so vital for our neighbors in need.

*Summer Meals Update for Morgan South Elementary*

The SE Ohio Foodbank will not be distributing meals at the Morgan South Elementary location this week (3555 OH-792, Stockport, OH 43787).

Meals will still be available at this location through another summer meals program. Families are encouraged to visit the site during its scheduled distribution time.

The SE Ohio Foodbank will hold a Mobile Market at the Perry County Fairgrounds on Monday, June 15, from 12PM-2PM. We are partnering with Perry JFS for their World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which is happening at the same time at the Perry County Opportunity Center across the street from the fairgrounds.
