I just delivered my first farm table and was very satisfied with how it turned out. My customer was extremely happy with it. What started out as old (probably close to 100 years) faded wood I salvaged from a barn turned into something beautiful. It’s amazing what some of the old timber looks like once you run it through a planer. Once the wood is selected and properly prepared and glued up I filled all the cracks and nail holes with resin which gives it lots of beautiful character. I now have a good supply of wood on hand if you are interested in a custom built to your size farm table.

Once in awhile you deserve to get lucky and find a really good deal on something. Compared to what it should have cost I came out way on top. After five hours of cleaning rust off the in feed and out feed tables, putting new blades on and setting them and getting it all adjusted for snipe etc. I think it’s ready to go. It was really out of tune. It’s going to get a lot of use.

Ground down a hundred year old floor or close to that. It’s going to be a studio apartment for the city to rent out. Turned out pretty good.

This is the last spiral I built. The stringer board adds a lot to it. Pictures aren’t necessarily in build order.
