Shak Khan immigrated with his family to the United States when he was 5 years old. Khan was elected to the Lodi City Council to represent District 4 in November of 2020.

We are one of the largest and oldest democracies in the world: political violence in any form is unacceptable. I am grateful that former President Trump is recovering, and that the Secret Service and local law enforcement were able to swiftly respond to the shooting. In the days ahead, we must all remain dedicated to the values that make our democracy so exceptional and strong.

I Look to Move Forward and Focus on my Family and future.

I have announced my intention to put the recent case behind me and shift my focus to my family and future endeavors. After much consideration, I have made the decision to refrain from further comment on the matter at this time.

Following a period of reflection and introspection, I have expressed my desire to move forward from the recent events and concentrate on the well-being of my family and my aspirations for the future. Despite the challenges I have faced, I am committed to embracing this new chapter with positivity and determination.

While recent events have been difficult, I am choosing to direct my attention towards my family and the opportunities that lie ahead," I appreciates the outpouring of support from my community that i have received and i asks for privacy as I navigates this final chapter of this case."

I have been an active member of the Lodi community for many years and I have contributed to various initiatives that have positively impacted on region. As i looks towards the future, I remains grateful for the experiences and lessons learned.

At this time, I have no further comment on the matter and kindly requests that my privacy be respected as i embarks on this new phase of my life.
