The Tree Just a beautiful tree in Locust, NC. Great place to catch awesome sunsets! This tree is on a main road in a small town.

Our lives are so busy that we forget to look around at all of the beautiful things that surround us. Thousands of people pass it every day...but how many people actually "see" it? I try to take a picture of The Tree every day...I especially love taking pictures of it at sunset. I made this page as a place where everyone can take just a moment out of their busy life to take a breath and enjoy the s

erenity, peace and beauty of nature! I do not own the tree or the land that it is on...I just truly appreciate the majesty and beauty of this 100+ year old oak tree!

Update on The Tree…they have a low construction fence around the tree and they are doing work on the far side with heavy...

Update on The Tree…they have a low construction fence around the tree and they are doing work on the far side with heavy equipment. I have been assured that the tree is in no danger but I don’t know how long the sunset view is going to be clear :(
