Albemarle Parks & Recreation is hosting a FREE Positive Coaching Alliance training on Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM at the EE Waddell Center.

This training is open to coaches from Locust who are interested in learning positive coaching strategies that help create a better youth sports experience for athletes.

Registration will be completed at check-in on Saturday.

*Note start date change from June 15 to June 22*

Duke Energy will begin a duct bank project along Hwy 24/27 on Monday, June 22. Work will take place overnight from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, to help minimize impacts to daytime traffic.

Starting June 22nd, motorists should expect lane closures and temporary traffic pattern changes near the electrical substation west of Tucker Street, as well as at the Hwy 24/27 and Meadow Creek Church Road crossings.

Please use caution when traveling through the area. We’ll continue to share updates as the project progresses and more information becomes available.
