Walmart also donated gift cards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Readers in the Summer Reading Program! We are excited to announce the Locust Grove Public Library received the Sequoyah Great Books Grant! We were selected to receive the Intermediate age level books which added 81 titles to our collection.

The Locust Grove Public Library Audiobook Walking Club is a new way to enjoy books, get active, and connect with others in the community.

Join us for a 1 or 2 mile leisurely walk down Main Street while listening to your personal audiobook. The walk will depart from the Locust Grove Public Library, and after the walk we’ll gather to discuss what everyone is currently listening to.

This group is the perfect place for the whole family or individuals to feel safe walking together as the weather starts to get nicer.

If you have a library card, a librarian will also be available to show you how to download audiobooks using the Libby app.

3rd Tuesday of the Month
Starting March 17, 2026
Walk begins at 5:30 PM
Discussion begins at 6:15 PM

All ages are welcome. A limited number of headphones will be available to check out for the walk.

The TSET IMPACT Network is assisting the Locust Grove Public Library in preparing and implementing the Audiobook Walking Club.
