Based on the underutilization of the State Touring Route Program, some of my colleagues are considering axing this important funding. In Senate District 62, nearly $34 million is available to the municipalities that qualify for this program, which remains out of the current funding. This is millions of dollars that should be put toward repairing our roads for commuters and if we need to make changes to the current program allowing for the full utilization of this money, we should as it will be to the benefit of our communities. Thank you to Paul Bologna NYS Assembly , Assemblyman Angelo Morinello, Lockport Mayor John Lombardi, and representatives from FAIR and the City of Lockport for joining me at today's press conference.

It’s been over a decade out of the mayor’s office for Michael Tucker, but now he is back working for the city. This time, as a volunteer aiming to help homeless people in Lockport.

Owen was a friend to all and a great community leader. He will be truly missed.

While not a Republican, Legislator Owen Steed was a friend to all and he made this community a better place. He will be sorely missed. God Speed.
