The annual 'Shop With Heroes' event, organized by The Lockland Police Department and Village of Lockland Fire Department, brought together First Responders and local kids for a day of shopping and gift wrapping. This event strengthens community bonds and allows children to get to know our staff. We are grateful to everyone who participated and made a difference in these children's lives. We also appreciate the collective effort that went into making this event a success. Lockland Police Department Village of Lockland Fire Department

Sgt. Dobbins and Officer Langford visited the Lockland Local Schools Annex to read to Ms. Cain’s and Ms. Dreyfuss’ class. The kids were split on who they thought would win in a fight, a killer whale or great white shark. What do you think? Thanks again to Starfish Assignment for sending each student home with a copy of the book.

Tonight at council Sgt. Dobbins presented a commendation to Officer Blair and Officer Waters for their exemplary work that led to the arrest of a subject from Georgia for unlawfully bringing a juvenile to Ohio. Through that process they also obtained a confession from the person who said he killed the vehicle owner but the death hadn’t yet been discovered by the authorities in Georgia.

We also said good bye to Vice Mayor Bryant who has served the residents of Lockland for twenty years. Thank you for your service and good luck in retirement!

Officer Doughman stopped by a 3rd grade class at Lockland Local Schools today to read to the students. A big thank you to Starfish Assignment’s Books & Badges program for partnering with us again to put a book in every student’s hand that they take home at the end of the day. This not only helps strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community but also helps to build the leaders of tomorrow.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Hamilton Township Police Department tonight.

Our hearts are broken.

Last night, Officer 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦 passed away at just 31 years old after a long and courageous battle with cancer, a journey she bravely shared with all of us for more than a year.

Megan joined our agency in October 2022 and immediately made an impact. She was a talented and dedicated officer, a committed public servant, and a young professional with an incredibly bright future ahead of her. She excelled in everything she took on and approached every assignment with professionalism, courage, and heart. She was recently married and building a life full of love, plans, and promise.

What we will remember most about Megan is her courage. The grace, determination, and optimism she showed throughout her battle inspired everyone around her, our officers, our staff, and the many people in this community who supported and encouraged her along the way.

As we grieve this loss, we know many of you will grieve with us. Please keep Megan’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

We will share additional details when they are confirmed.

Tonight, and in the days ahead, we honor Megan: her service, her spirit, and the lasting impact she made on all of us.

Moments like this remind us how precious life is and how important it is to hold close the people who matter.
