On Sunday, August 30, 2026, OES 4613 was deployed to the Plaskett Fire in Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties as part of Strike Team OES 4813F.

Our crew will support ongoing fire suppression efforts and work alongside cooperating agencies as operations continue on the Plaskett Fire. We wish our personnel and all firefighters assigned to the incident a safe and successful deployment.

Yesterday August 25, 2026 our crew on OES 4613 as part of strike team TF 4811 was released from their assignment at the Hawk Fire in Reno, Nevada.

On August 3, 2026, Engine 13-2 was assigned to the Gann Fire as part of Strike Team XSJ4180C. The strike team was later reassigned to the Timber Fire in Monterey County, where they continued their fire assignment.

On August 19, 2026, Strike Team XSJ4180C was released from the assignment, returning home after providing support alongside fire personnel and resources from multiple agencies.

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, Chief 13-1, assigned as part of OES 4808A Strike Team, was released and demobilized from their fire assignment.

The strike team was originally assigned to the Rowe Complex before being reassigned to the Grasshopper Fire in Oregon.

Thank you to all of our firefighters and partner agencies for their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the assignment.

At approximately 4:15 a.m. on August 15, 2026, Engine 13-1 was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Jack Tone Road.

Engine 13-1 arrived first on scene and found a shop fully involved with heavy smoke and flames. Multiple engines and water tenders arrived shortly afterward, working together to quickly bring the fire under control.

We would like to thank our neighboring agencies, Waterloo Morada Fire District, clements_firefighters, and libertyfiredistrict12, for their assistance on scene, as well as lindenpetersfire for providing district coverage while our crews operated at the incident.

On 8/12/26 Engine 13-2, part of Strike Team XSJ4180C, was released from the Gann Fire and was reassigned to the Timber Fire in Monterey county CA.

On August 7, 2026 at 07:16pm, Engine 13-1 responded to a motorcycle accident on the roadway. One patient was treated and transported from the scene.

Monday night, Engine 13-2 was dispatched to the Gann Fire as part of Strike Team XSJ4180. The crew remains assigned to the incident and continues working on the fire line.
