September 11th, 2026, marks the 25th anniversary of the tragic day that changed our world forever. Remember the nearly three thousand who started that day like any other and never returned home to their loved ones that day. Honor the thousands who raced to help that day and the almost five thousand who have since succumbed to illnesses from working on the recovery efforts.

We will never forget.

At 4:40am on Thursday September 3,2026 the Locke Fire department got dispatched to a Tractor trailer MVA roll over in front of the Locke Postoffice. No injuries but a lot of mess to clean up. I would like the thank all members of the Fire Department that helped out in many different ways. Also the following agencies Four Town Ambulance, CNY towing, NYSP, NYS DOT, NYS DEC, NYSEG, Verizon, Town of Locke , OAK Wood towing , Maple wood towing, Vitale , News Channel 9 Ryan Dean and Christie Casciano. Locke units remained on scene until 5:13pm. As of 6:42pm the road is still closed at this time please avoid the area and let the crews finish up their work.
