Howard Grange
Howard Grange is having a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, Sept 26, at the Howard VFW Post 8269. The chicken should be ready by 11 a.m. and will be on sale until sold out. The cost for a full meal will be $15 and includes the chicken, macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans and a roll. Puzzle Swap and Brunch at Axemann Brewery in Bellefonte on Sept 27 from 1-3 p.m. Come swap your gently used puzzles, leave a puzzle or take a puzzle. Lemont Concerts
The Friday night summer concerts on the Lemont Village Green are drawing to a close.
On Sept. 18, the concert will be by the Tussey Mountain Moonshiners. Concerts are free and run from 7-8:30 p.m. The last concert of the season will be The Tellegrassers on Sept. 25.

Drive thru Soup Sale
Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall, is having a drive through vegetable beef soup sale on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. until sold out. The soup will be $9 per quart and is available by pre-order by calling the church at 570-726-4112. Leave a message including your name and how many quarts you would like, then come on Oct. 10 and get yours brought right to your car window!

Blood Drives
The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!
Blood drives will be held as follows:
Sept. 16, from 1-6 p.m., at Duboistown Fire Hall, Euclid Ave., South Williamsport.
Sept. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Zion Community Church, Bellefonte.
Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Wingate Faith Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte.
Oct. 7, from 12:30-6 p.m., at the Howard fire hall
Oct. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Flemington First Church of Christ.
