It's been an eventful week for our crews and our community, to say the least. ☔⚡
But last night, 9 crew members traveled to Pegula Ice Arena to get in some preseason emergency training with the Men's and Women's Ice Hockey medical team. We also took the opportunity for a behind the scenes tour of the facility. 🏒
Last season, our team took on the task of becoming the official ALS crew for both PSU Ice Hockey Teams, which has allowed a special opportunity for us to provide emergency care in a "different" setting.
Special THANKS goes out to the team Athletic Trainers, Karlie and Kristin for facilitating a meaningful evening.
We. Are. 🤍💙

Today, 13 staff/volunteer members (and 1 adopted provider from a neighboring agency) participated in PreHospital Trauma Life Support class at our station.
Funded with grant monies from the PA Act-13 (Unconventional Gas Well Impact Fee) - Goodwill was able to hold the 16 hour course, in-house at no cost. This nationally recognized course, gives clinicians a standardized baseline for assessments and treatment for all trauma patients we may encounter.
We are fortunate to have received the funding so that a large number of our staff could participate without having to travel or pay out of pocket (minimum of $300-$350 per person).
❤️ THANK YOU to Hacc Public Safety Training Center for coming on the road to facilitate the class and THANK YOU to the Glick Family for sharing their wonderful cooking talents to feed everyone!!! 🩺
