Folks.... UPDATE TIME !

Please read the entire post for clarity...

First, we had an excellent turnout of Clinton, Centre and Lycoming residents at the Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) on Thursday and Friday.

We received news from PEMA that we will be initiating the next phase of the process of potentially getting funding assistance to those who faced uninsured losses from our flooding event on September 2-3. On Monday morning two teams of evaluators, personnel from PEMA and the Small Business Administration (SBA) will be re-visiting properties that had such extensive damage we believe they fit into the major damage or destroyed categories according to the federal and state governments definitions.

What does this mean ? If we can show and prove to the evaluators from SBA these properties fit the damage definition they may agree to activate their emergency assistance programming. If they active their programs, the state of Pennsylvania can activate their programming.

What we need to show per the program guidelines is at least 25 homes that show major damage, with 40% of the damage not covered by insurance.

Please understand if you did not report damage yet you still can using our link. If nobody was at your property yet it doesn't mean you are forgotten, your damage wasn't "bad enough" or don't qualify. Once we show the appropriate findings and the programs are activated there will be a sign up period for approximately two weeks that anyone can apply for assistance that was affected. We will provide more on that topic if we reach that point.

If you have questions, please email [email protected]. We haven't been in the office much and leaving voicemails may get frustrating for you.

Please pass this information around !

🌧️ FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON & EVENING 🌧️

The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services is monitoring the potential for heavy showers and thunderstorms later today into this evening.

⚠️ Flash flooding will be the primary concern. With the significant flooding our area experienced recently, the ground remains vulnerable and it may not take much additional heavy rainfall to cause flooding again.

Residents should remain weather-aware, especially if you live near streams, low-lying areas, or locations that experienced flooding during the recent storms.

🚗 Never drive through a flooded roadway — Turn Around, Don’t Drown!

📱 Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts and be prepared to take action if a warning is issued.

Clinton County Department of Emergency Services will continue to monitor conditions throughout the day and evening.
