On Saturday 4/18 at 9:47am the Livonia Fire Department responded alongside Hemlock Fire to State Route 15A (Plank Rd) & Stone Hill Rd for the report of a box truck vs pickup truck.

First arriving officers arrived on scene and confirmed the crash with the pickup truck on its roof in the ditch and the 2 occupants unable to get out. Patient 1 was extricated at 10:09 and patient 2 was extricated at 10:15. The occupants of the pickup truck were transported to an area hospital for treatment while the occupants of the box truck refused care at the scene.

The roadway was closed for some time until the vehicles involved could be removed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriffs Department.

Responding:
Assistant Chief Fuller (2502), Engine 255 with 1st Lieutenant Beach (2504), Squad 251 with fire police for traffic control. Livonia BLS Ambulance 2982, Medic 74, Hemlock Fire, Lakeville Fire, Livingston County EMS, Mercy Flight West, & the Livingston County Sheriffs Department.

UPDATE: As of 1:20pm on 4/18 the roadway is now open to all traffic.

Please avoid the area of Plank Rd (SR 15A) in Hemlock between Woodruff Rd and Bosleys Corners (Richmond Mills Rd) while emergency crews tend to a motor vehicle crash.

April 19 - Start: 1:00pm / End: 2:00pm

What: We will be available to discuss what is involved in joining our organization, assist in filling out an application or just answering your questions. We are looking for Interior fire fighters( go inside to fight the fire of rescue victims, Exterior fire fighters( stay outside to assist getting equipment putting up ladders etc.) and Fire Police (direct traffic in and around the emergency scene) We are also looking for Jr Fire fighters aged 16-18( they learn everything involved in fire fighting so they are ready to go to work for us when they turn 18) We will see you there!!!
