Today, the Livingston Police Department honors the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

We pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the bravery of our first responders, and the seven Livingston residents who never came home:

All residents are invited to join the Township's annual 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance today, Friday, September 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The program will be held rain or shine at the 9/11 Living Memorial Garden on the Livingston Oval.

We thank the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, and those who continue to serve. We will protect your legacy, we will safeguard our town, and Livingston will never forget.🇺🇸

LOCK IT DOWN: Officer Joy isn’t taking any chances with her data!
We are making sure that your back-to-school photos are secure for the first day. As you can see, Officer Joy has her first-day details under lock and key.

Detailed chalkboard signs listing your child’s school name, teacher and exact age give online scammers and predators a perfect script to target your family. Officer Joy tried to brag about her lunchtime status on the sign, but we had to remind her that “knowing how to squeeze a juice box without spraying it all over your uniform” is not a flex for a grown adult.

Lock down your family’s privacy before you post:

• Keep it generic: Leave the school and teacher’s name completely off the sign.
• Hide the name tag: Flip embroidered backpacks around so the child’s name isn’t facing the camera.
• Check your corners: Scan the background of your porch photos for house numbers or license plates.
• Secure your profile: Set your social media privacy to “Friends Only” instead of “Public”.

Congratulations, Alan! 👮‍♂️🎓

Alan successfully completed the Junior Police Academy this summer, but unfortunately was unable to attend the graduation ceremony.

Today, Alan stopped by Police Headquarters to receive his well-earned certificate and challenge coin, and to take a photo with some of our officers.

Joining Alan for the photo are Community Policing Officer Michael Barreiro, Patrolman and JPA Instructor Anthony Domanoski, and Patrol Sergeant Kevin Mullaney.

Alan, your hard work and dedication are well earned and deserved. We’re proud of you!
