: Officer Spotlight!๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธโœจ

โญ Dedication, Discipline, and a commitment to order are the Hallmarks of a great corrections professional, and Officer Reece embodies all three. Starting her career in immigration for 3 years, she transitioned to TDCJ - Allan B. Polunsky Unit to continue her service. After a year excelling as a pod floor rover on G4 medium custody then G5 close custody desk officer, her proactive approach earned her a promotion to the Contraband Interdiction Team (C.I.T).

โ›ชNow as our Chapel Officer, she manages up to 275 inmates during services with a " fair and firm" approach. Her secret? Zero nonsense standard and absolute punctuality. Even the inmates agree: they value having officer Reece on duty because she keeps everything running safely, smoothly, and right on time. They appreciate her presence because she eliminates chaos. Officer Reece's ability to command respect while maintaining a highly organized environment makes her an invaluable asset to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice ." Thank you Officer Reece for embodying the agency's core values!

Mental Health Therapeutic Diversion Program Celebrates Four New Graduates๐Ÿ‘

Four inmate patients successfully completed the Mental Health Therapeutic Diversion Program, marking an important milestone in their rehabilitation journey. Major flores presented each graduate with a certificate recognizing their hard work, commitment, and progress toward stronger self-management. Although photos cannot be shared due to the individuals current status, staff reported that all for graduates were proud of their accomplishments and optimistic about their next steps. Later this month, each participant will meet with SCC, supported by a recommendation from the senior psychologist encouraging strong consideration for an upgraded custody placement. This achievement reflects the ongoing dedication of both the program team and the participants, highlighting the impact of structured therapeutic support within the correctional setting.

๐ŸŒฑ From soil to celebration: Field Force inmates Trade Garden time for a Day of Recreation and Reward .

Today the Field Force Supervisors paused the daily grind to offer these men a rare commodity; a day of recreation and the literal fruits & vegetables of their gardening.

This incentive day turned the unit gymnasium into a bustling community hub. Inmates swapped their gardening tools for Co****le and Jinga, taking advantage of an unhurried afternoon of recreation.

The highlight of the event sat on the lunch tray. The meal featured fresh vegetables entirely planted, nurtured, and harvested by the inmates themselves. Lieutenant Ard noted that the initiative aims to reinforce the connection between hard work and tangible rewards, providing a critical morale boost for the squad .

Today 40 G-5s attended the event , recently 5 G-5s were upgraded to G4s from the squad ! The Field Supervisor would like to thank the Self Harm Prevention Department, The Recreational Department, Food Service Department & Media Department for their assistance, coming together to make this event a success!
