The Valley Link Board of Directors is saddened by the passing of Scott Haggerty, a visionary transportation leader and one of the earliest champions of the Valley Link rail project.
Scott believed in connecting communities through reliable, efficient passenger rail and played a leading role in creating the Tri-Valley – San Joaquin Valley Regional Rail Authority. His vision and dedication continue to shape the future of regional transportation.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. His legacy will live on through his work and the many lives his work has touched.

The Valley Link project would bring a rail connection between the Dublin-Pleasanton BART station, and ACE train service in Livermore. The idea is to make it easier for riders from beyond the Altamont Pass to take train service all the way into San Francisco, and reduce traffic over Interstate 580.

We had a great time celebrating Earth Day this past Saturday with the amazing team at Tracy Earth Project.

Valley Link was proud to host a booth and connect with so many community members who share a passion for sustainability, transit, and a greener future. Events like this are a great reminder of what we can accomplish together.
