A fun Sunday at Historic Hagemann Ranch, courtesy of the Livermore Heritage Guild! There was a hayride, fortune teller, plenty of farm animals, and lots of crafts and activities for kids. Thank you to all the volunteers who devote their time to our community. ❤️

Thank you to Livermore Downtown for organizing a truly spooktacular Kidz Town Halloween Hay Day downtown. I really enjoyed being on the judging panel for the costume contest. Nicole Nicolay and Robyn Annicchero of Love Livermore were the best emcees! It was two solid hours of fun and creative costumes and plenty of cuteness all around. Here's a sampling. Happy Halloween!

My friend's foster dog got away in Livermore, possibly seen last night in the Springtown area. Please call or text this number if you see her! 🐕

This re-endorsement of Congresswoman Aisha Wahab by The Mercury News says it all. Read every word. Here's a gift link.

Rep. Wahab, a prolific lawmaker in Sacramento, has convinced our board she has what it takes to help Alameda County in D.C.

The annual Trunk or Treat at Livermore Civic Center is quite an event! Feels like every youngster in the city is there. Thank you so much to Livermore Police Department for organizing. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers from LPD, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Alameda County Sheriff's Office, City of Livermore, CA - Government, Livermore Public Library, Wheels Bus, and all the other agencies who worked so hard to make this possible. We appreciate you! 👏👏👏

I've probably driven past Heritage Estates thousands of times, usually on my way to and from Trader Joe's, and today I got to go inside. Thank you to this wonderful retirement community for hosting this month's Livermore Valley Chamber mixer. It's such a beautiful facility and much bigger inside than it appears from the street. Thank you, Livermore Valley Chamber!

What a great afternoon in Livermore! 😃

Huge thank you to Vice Mayor Kristie Wang and Peggy McGurk for hosting a candidate party for our campaign. So many great supporters showed up, and it was a great reminder of why this particular school board election is so important for our kids, our teachers, our schools, and our community.

Kristie and Peggy, thank you for organizing, opening your backyard, and everyone else too, for all the donating, canvassing, and networking you’ve done to help get this campaign out there. It takes a village, and you are a big part of ours!

And to everyone reading this: vote, vote, vote! Ballots are out, and Election Day is November 3.

Thank you to my friend Peggy McGurk for hosting a house party for some wonderful local candidates -- Angela Brady, Tara Boyce, Christiaan VandenHeuvel, Larry Bird, and Olivia Sanwong. Mike Ralph was not able to get away from work, so Councilmember Steven Dunbar kindly agreed to step in and speak on his behalf.

Thank you to Livermore Advocates for Public Education for coming to talk to us about our districted School Board elections and to my friend Paula Campbell for always jumping in to help where needed. Thank you to my personal rock star for hooking us up with sound.

These are important elections on your ballot. Please watch the candidate forums, look at their endorsements, and vote thoughtfully. These are some of the candidates I support. Please vote for them and for Aisha Wahab to keep her in her seat to represent us in Congress. Spread the word to your friends and neighbors. Happy voting!

The election for the Board Directors of Livermore Area Recreation and Park District - LARPD is usually a relatively quiet affair. Not this time. There are seven candidates running for three seats, all of whom have some experience in parks & recreation. It's not easy to figure out who to vote for.

This letter from our outgoing LARPD Director David Furst, who has served us very thoughtfully and diligently on the Board for many years, gives us some insight to the candidates. I have studied the candidates and spent a lot of time hearing from those involved with our parks & recreation. I urge you to vote for Mike Ralph and Larry Bird. (On a separate note, to represent our ward on the East Bay Regional Park District District Board, vote for Olivia Sanwong.)

To read Director Furst's letter and for more information on the candidates, see the links in my comments below.
