In observance of Labor Day, Tri-Valley Haven will be closed Monday, September 7.

While our offices and programs are closed for the holiday, our shelters and 24-hour Crisis Hotline remain open and available to support those who need us.

We’re honored to be recognized by the City of Livermore during Hunger Awareness Month. 💚

Thank you to Mayor John Marchand for presenting Tri-Valley Haven with this proclamation and for recognizing our continued work to address food insecurity in the Tri-Valley.

Through our Food Pantry, we work to ensure individuals and families in our community have access to nutritious food with dignity and choice.

We’re grateful to the City of Livermore and Mayor Marchand for recognizing the importance of this work and for standing alongside Tri-Valley Haven as we continue working toward a community where no one has to go without the food they need.

🥕 September is here, and it’s a chance to talk about something that affects more people in our community than we may realize: food insecurity.
September is National Hunger Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about hunger and the importance of making sure everyone has access to nutritious food.
At Tri-Valley Haven’s Food Pantry, our Client Choice model gives individuals and families the opportunity to choose the foods that work best for their household. It’s an approach rooted in choice and dignity, while also helping us conserve food and reduce waste.
Through donated and rescued food, we can help make sure good food gets to the people who need it most instead of going to waste. 💜

Tomorrow, August 26, we recognize Women’s Equality Day. 💜

Women’s Equality Day commemorates the certification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, a historic milestone in the fight for women’s equality and voting rights.

At the same time, we recognize that the right to vote was not fully realized by all women in 1920. Many women of color continued to face legal and systemic barriers to political representation for decades.

Today, Women’s Equality Day is both a celebration of the progress that has been made and a reminder of the work that remains.

At Tri-Valley Haven, this day connects deeply to our mission. Our work helps survivors and individuals reclaim their safety, independence, voice, and power. We believe everyone deserves to live free from violence and with the opportunity to have their voice heard.

Tri-Valley Haven is proud to participate in 925 GIVES, a community-wide giving campaign supporting nonprofits serving Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

The pre-giving window is open now, so you can choose Tri-Valley Haven when you make your donation. Your support helps us continue providing safety, advocacy, shelter, counseling, and essential resources to survivors and families in our community.

The 24-hour giving day is September 25, with challenges, prizes, and opportunities to amplify your impact throughout the day. Donations will be accepted through October 8.
