“Throughout this campaign the City has relied on false and misleading claims to support its attacks on the Central Park Plan and to persuade voters to support Measure P,” said Tamara Reus, a spokeswoman for the group. “This misinformation must stop. The voters deserve to have accurate information to inform their vote.”

Alameda County is asking the court to toss out the City of Livermore’s lawsuit against proponents of a Nov. 3 ballot initiative, which also names the Board of Supervisors as

"Vote No on P. You will be keeping open the opportunity to make a meaningful vote in regard to the Central Park Plan in November, with its high-level westside hotel, needed parking off Livermore Avenue, and larger 3-acre park. You will also be sending a message that the public sees through the backdoor attempts to influence voters, and does not support them. This will preserve our ability to participate in a meaningful local democracy in the future."

Note: Joan Seppala, Founder and Publisher of The Independent, is one of the leaders of the grassroots organization that supports the Central Park Plan.

No on P supporter Susan Putnam says, "As our population continues to grow and young families plant their roots, keep in mind that Livermore has just one small park in downtown, Carnegie Park. An expanded area for downtown gatherings and a place to enjoy warm, sunny days would be a treasure for decades to come. Vote NO on Measure P on March 3." read more at https://www.livermoredeservesbetter.com/voices

Measure P isn't about a hotel. It's about which plan is best for Livermore. Both plans for downtown include housing, Stockmen’s Park, open space, retail, a science museum, a black box theater, a hotel, and new parking garages on I Street (near the railroad tracks) and on L Street. Both can be constructed in a similar time frame. Compare and decide before you vote!
