We remain under Stage 1 fire restrictions, and protecting our community starts at home. A few simple steps can make a big difference:

•Keep defensible space by clearing dry grass, leaves, and debris within at least 30 feet of structures
•Use ember-resistant vents and clean gutters and roofs regularly
•Avoid parking vehicles on dry vegetation
•Use grills and fire features only as permitted and never leave them unattended
•For new construction or re-roofing, choose Class
A fire-rated materials (metal, tile, or asphalt shingles)

If you see smoke with flames, report it immediately by calling 911. Stay safe, Roxborough!
