UPDATE 5/19: Thanks to tips from the community, we have been able to identify the suspect in this case. As a reminder, all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Original post 5/13: We’re hoping someone in the community might recognize the woman pictured here. It looks like she had quite a busy shopping trip, but unfortunately, she headed for the exit with over $550 in merchandise without stopping at the register. While Loss Prevention was able to recover the items, she managed to slip away before our deputies could get on scene.

Suspect Description:
-White female
-Yellow Nails
-Black/white Colorado hat
-Gray off-shoulder sweater
-Black leggings
-Black/white purse

A big thank you to retailers in Douglas County for being so vigilant. We take retail theft seriously and will respond when it is reported.

Community Notification of a Sexually Violent Predator

In accordance with Colorado law the Colorado Springs Police Department is notifying the community that Nathan John Zaborski, has moved to an address in Colorado Springs. Zaborski is a s*x offender whose past behavior has led him to be labeled as a “Sexually Violent Predator” (SVP) by the Colorado Courts.

Zaborski’s criminal history reveals that he was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Contact with a Child in Norfolk, VA in 2010.
Zaborski was also convicted of 3rd Degree Criminal Trespass in 2000.

Zaborski is registered and residing at 3688 Iguana Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Zaborski is described as being a white male, 43 years old, 6” tall, 170lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Zaborski is one of nineteen (19) “Sexually Violent Predators” registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department who reside in this community. The Colorado Springs Police Department takes his presence in our community very seriously and is intent on insuring he conducts himself in a lawful manner and that our citizens remain safe and aware.
