To All Borough Residents: Over the next several weeks we will be conducting street sweeping operations through out town. Due to the past winter weather conditions, we did spread a large amount of salt and cinders that are now on sidewalks and driveway entrances. We are suggesting that if you would like to have these cleaned up, please feel free to sweep them out into the street and we will clean them up with the sweeper. We also want to remind the motorcycle riders to please us caution until we get all the cinders cleaned up. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

**ATTENTION**

As you are aware there was another unfortunate incident which involved a pedestrian being struck at the Square in Littlestown Borough. The Police Department has investigated the incident and reviewed the video and concluded the following results: Both parties have been found at fault and will be cited accordingly.

The operator of the vehicle will be charged with the following offenses, 1. Failure to yield right of way of pedestrians in crosswalks, 2. Operation of motor vehicle while operating privileges are suspended, 3. Required financial responsibility (no insurance).

The pedestrian will be charged with failure to obey pedestrian control signals - Section 3113 a2 of Title 75 (PA Vehicle Code). It was determined that the pedestrian failed to activate the crosswalk button and then entered the intersection under a "Don’t Walk" pedestrian control signal. Please keep in mind that to activate the pedestrian control signal you must push the buttons that are clearly marked each side of the intersection.
