FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Stormpoint Emergency Response Announces New Executive Director and Operations in Arkansas

Stormpoint Emergency Response is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyler Mays as its new Executive Director, effective December 1, 2025. This leadership transition marks a significant step forward as the organization prepares to move its operational base to Arkansas, positioning Stormpoint for expanded service capabilities and improved regional response times.

Stormpoint Emergency Response remains steadfast in its mission:

Show up fast, support people in crisis, and use technology to make emergency response safer and smarter.

The organization’s refocus to Arkansas aligns directly with this mission. Arkansas’ central location and proximity to high-impact weather zones will allow Stormpoint to deploy more quickly, strengthen interagency coordination, and broaden its reach across the southern and central United States.

As part of its strategic growth, Stormpoint is expanding its drone-based emergency response program, utilizing advanced unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to deliver real-time situational awareness, damage assessments, and enhanced safety for responders and affected communities. This tech-driven approach ensures that critical information is available within minutes—not hours—empowering emergency managers, first responders, and partner agencies to make informed decisions during rapidly evolving events.

Stormpoint Emergency Response is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and its ability to operate depends directly on community support. As a donation-driven agency, contributions help fund mission-critical needs—from deploying drone teams and maintaining specialized equipment to training responders and expanding capabilities across the region. Ongoing public and private support ensures Stormpoint can continue to respond quickly and effectively when communities need it most.

Stormpoint Emergency Response extends its gratitude to the volunteers, partners, and supporters whose dedication continues to drive the organization’s work. Further updates regarding new programs, training opportunities, and community engagement initiatives will be announced following the establishment of the Arkansas headquarters.
