On this day in 1948, women earned the right to serve as permanent members of our Armed Forces. Generations have answered that call ever since, including so many right here in Arkansas. Today, on National Women Veterans Day, we simply want to say thank you. Thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and the example you set for all of us. We are honored to stand with you. 🙏🤍

Secretary Ator recently presented the ADVA Secretary "Champion" Award for Excellence to Riva Miller in recognition of her outstanding dedication to Arkansas veterans. 🎉

Riva consistently goes above and beyond to ensure veterans receive the honor, support, and compassion they deserve. One story that truly reflects her commitment involved a veteran who had no known family. Determined to ensure he was not alone, Riva spent countless hours searching for relatives. Through her persistence, she was able to locate a long-lost family member, reuniting the veteran with family he never expected to see again.
